Stephanie D. Stahler, Senior Associate Director of Admissions at McDaniel College, has been in the field of admissions since June 1997. During her tenure at McDaniel she has recruited high school students from throughout the United States as well as internationally. Currently her territory focuses on students from Baltimore City and County as well as the southern portion of Maryland. She’s overseen the transfer student process, student ambassador program, multicultural student recruitment and a host of other areas during her nearly twenty-three years on the Hill. She’s received recognition from her colleagues at her regional association (PCACAC) as “Admissions Counselor of the Year” in 2019 as well as the CollegeBound Foundation’s “Counselor of the Year” in 2015 for her support and recruitment of Baltimore City students. Central to all that Stephanie does is the importance of access and equity for her students, as well as the high school counselors and community-based organizations (CBOs) who support these efforts.
