This workshop is intended for NHI partners working in higher education. During this session, NHI leadership will provide information and training on issues of the recruitment and retention of Latinx/a/o students. College partners will get to hear from NHI's President and Founder, Ernesto Nieto during this session, as well as other NHI voices. Rather than being instructive with a specific set of steps any institution should take to work to recruit and retain self-identifying Latinx/a/o students, this session aims to share with participants about what NHI has learned over 40 years as an organization in the Latinx community, and the complexities and challenges of this work learned along the way.
